August will be intense for us. The planets are lining up to cause future challenges. The heat of summer, turmoil of the financial markets, aggressions of rogue countries, Immigration troubles, will not make smooth sailing for a usual lazy summer month. This will be no vacation times….

August’s Top Five Astro-Events

Jupiter squares Pluto on the 25th, “” Today “” and is a strong influence on the U.S. Venus. There are more struggles..
Some financial reforms are already being concluded and implemented. There is a false sense of
financial growth with the Jupiter influence. And the financial reforms are not strong enough.
There is a Full Moon on July 26, 2010 at 3 degrees of Aquarius.
Saturn opposes Uranus on the 26th, but will have a lasting effect all
month.
This combination is the last of five between these two. We will still be
fighting the old establishment for new ideas and new innovations. Opportunities will be laid out for us to see why we cannot keep old tired plans. They are not working for the people of the U.S. and the world.
Uranus turns direct on December 6th, 2010 at 26 degrees of Pisces and does not enter Aries again until March 13, 2011.. We have to still go through set-backs, hassles, arguments until March 2011, before we see any aggressive action for change. There will be more talk and no action until them.. This is too long to wait…!!
While watching another Senate Confirmation Hearing, the Saturn/Uranus opposition finally comes into coherent focus ! The old established plans keep holding us back.
We will have to live with the cautions and frustrations of Saturn and Retro planets until the end of this year. I know, it took years to get to this point and more years to get out !
The path we are on, will fail, until we finally open up our minds and actions….

I don’t believe one grows older. I think that what happens early on in
life is that at a certain age one stands still and stagnates.

Saturn is at the end of its transit in Virgo and will enter Libra on Wednesday, July 21 at 8:09am PDST. As it does so, it immediately moves into an opposition with Jupiter and Uranus in Aries.
Saturn is holding us back more now than ever right now.

An interesting project to do, is to look back and see how Saturn in Libra affected you in its past transit ? I was dealing with the passing of a husband and the balancing the joint finances ! It all worked out well, and I expect this transit to do the same ? Uranus will throw us some curves, but we will hurdle those diversions, as well !
Saturn in Libra is best described by the Justice card in the
Rider-Waite Tarot deck: Armed with the scales of justice in one hand
and the sword of power in the other. With Saturn in Libra, justice
and balance are required and they may come with a price.
In any matter with which Saturn becomes involved, he does not give
success easily. It must be earned, and the Saturnian qualities of
discipline, hard work and achievement must be utilized. This will be
particularly important when Saturn and Pluto face off in a square
formation.
Saturn´s nature is tireless. Saturn is constructive. Venus likes
things that are beautiful and serve to make life happier for people.
So in Libra Saturn is given tools that Venus approves of; sometimes
these are artistic tools; instruments, paint, colour, and the product
of which raises humanity out of filth and into civilization, because
these things are all designed to please others. But Saturn also has a
great affinity with defenses, with building things in order to defend
his tradition, family and culture. Saturn in this respect will erect
buildings that are beautiful, that encourage others to feel both
admiration and respect.
Pluto can destroy things, or at least make things appear to be destroyed.
Remember the idea of “from the ashes”, it´s cliche, but it seems to
be the appropriate keynote for Pluto transits.
The fact that Pluto is in Capricorn in any case will give Saturn and
any planets in
early Libra the upper hand. Pluto will be forced to co-operate,
something that rarely ever happens.

After another horrendous week of shocking news, it would be fantastic to just float , go to our soul path and refresh our mind and body. We are having to accept too many disasters out of our control, that I really dislike. Our world earthly leaders, are disregarding civil, humane treatment to the people and our planet. We have to heal ourselves and our own spirituality. I thought it interesting to think of Esoteric Astrology and calculate our own
Rays and how subconsciously, we can focus on our own inner strength and do some personal healing…
Exoteric astrology seeks to blend the esoteric {soul} with the
exoteric {personality} in order to integrate the ~whole~ being of an
individual, the chakra ~ladder~ can show us the way and help identify
where we are on our particular soul journey. It provides a structure
to bring thought to form, unconscious to conscious and thus the
evolution of the soul….
The process of healing and moving toward on ones life path brings
one to a new sense of definition. By acknowledging ones own needs and
evaluating ones life accordingly one admits the present circumstances
are neither acceptable to the person nor conducive to their healing.
One comes to the realisation that one has to take steps to change, and
in the process of healing learn to detach oneself from objects or
people who are drawing the strengths right out of ones body.
~We are meant to draw on our inner resources, to find the material
strengths to leave behind our out-moded beliefs and behaviours and to
see ourselves in new healthy ways, to take up our beds and walk,
In the process of healing one finds oneself becoming more aware of the
extraordinary world that lies beyond ones eyes. Ultimately one learns
symbolic sight, the ability to use ones intuition to interpret the
power symbols in ones life. with the realisation gained that we are indeed ~Walking our Path on our Soul Journey towards the destination
of ~Growth~

This is the way it is! Stopping to consider refreshing our souls, goes against my grain. Full speed ahead is more my style, but floundering around, will get us no where too! We have a conglomeration of planets spinning against each other. Taking a pause from our arrogant controlling nature can open the path for Saturn in Libra, and maybe we can get some balance and fairness in our world. We have to wake up and see the advantages of loving each other and working together…Taking care of our ” mother earth environment” has got to be a priority !
To live inside the Moon! That’s the gift of this Solar Eclipse in Moon-ruled Cancer.
The total Solar Eclipse of July 11, 2010, (3:40pm EDT/ 12:40pm PDT) a powerful new Moon in its own sign of Cancer.
We need to learn to live inside the Moon again. The Moon symbolizes the Unconscious, the inner matrix and Mother that births the Ego and hopefully the Self into the world. The Moon has her own type of consciousness and her own language symbolic language, the language of the Soul.
The Cancer new Moon calls us to refresh our Souls in the Waters of Life. It is time we go in search of the Grail castle, the court of the Rich Fisherman and ask the question: Whom does the Grail/the Wells serve? The answer of course is Love and Life. We need to become Warriors of Life and start defending our home, our Mother Earth.
As we watch our Mother’s oily blood flow into the Gulf, this Solar Eclipse in Cancer demands that we face this issue of our becoming. Who are we evolving into? Or are we at a dead end as a species? I choose to have faith that we can still turn things around, not only in the Gulf but in our world at large.
The message for this Solar Eclipse New Moon in Cancer is: Figure out how you can help Mother Earth heal and flourish at the same time as you incarnate your own deepest longings and desires. How can you be of service to others if you can’t be true to yourself? How can you heal yourself enough to really Love one another and the whole Earth? First you have to love yourself!
The Moon in Cancer wants us to feel that all encompassing, nurturing Love the love of the Mother which sustains us through Life. The absolute awe and divine love you feel for the baby you just gave birth to, through long labor and sometimes wracking pain. This solar eclipse is our collective moment of Birth giving birth to the larger Self.
The Sabian symbol for 20* Cancer is: Venetian gondoliers giving a serenade. The Venetians used the waters as a means of transportation. It’s time to learn to navigate the watery, feeling realms with skill and passion. The gondoliers steer their boats with joy and happiness, imagination and love. That’s the serenade. We have to learn to travel on the watery paths again, the paths that sustain us with love and hope, happiness and joy.

I did my own denial, and dismissed Neptune turning retrograde! Thirty-five days later ! reconsidering passing events, nudging myself to some reality, I opened up my mind and eyes. With all the shocking happenings around us, it has got to hit the collective consciousness of the rest of the country, too What is really going on, and why the manipulation of the truths? We still might be foggy, but we all are beginning to wake up, out of our haze! Oh!, and feeling that cold water, “in our face” !
May 31 Neptune turned retrograde at 28:42 Aquarius. This is of note particularly because Neptune
is currently in a quincunx aspect with Saturn, an aspect of stress that is one of the main astrological indicators of the Gulf oil spill.
With both these planets stationary right now,
of course the problem is not being fixed. But we are all
fixed on it: an apparently insoluble problem with horrendous
repercussions.
During her retrograde cycle, she will retrace her steps from from 28
degrees and back to 25 degrees. This time around, however, Neptune’s
retrograde occurs when a rare and active set of cardinal eclipses,
cross & t-square are happening within the course of three months (June
and August).
Neptune is the dreamy planet that, at its best, makes us see beyond
the tangible world and explore spirituality, faith and fantasy. The
dark side of Neptune is that its love of illusion can inspire us to
escape to alternate realities we’ve created for ourselves — AKA
delusions. Neptune rules all that which is hidden and operates in the unseen world –
our subconscious, psychological self, dreams, imagination, and spirituality. She is often associated with confusion, escapism (drugs/alcohol )
creativity (music), transcendence, “oneness,” and unconditional love.
Neptune can encourage us to live in denial. We all have specific
fears and hangups we don’t want to deal with — perhaps you ignore.
Chances are, Neptune is behind any excuses you invent to support these
ideas.
But when Neptune goes backward, it can feel like we’ve had a bucket of
cold water splashed on our faces. Because Neptune’s dreamy edge
usually allows us to gloss over unpleasant truths its move backward gives
us the opposite: a harsh wake-up call.

We are skidding on thin ice , or heavy oil! All of our status quo problems, just keep piling up, instead of being solved. We are just using band-aids. The Hurricane season is now starting at the Gulf, which will further impact the Gulf states and put them in further peril. We have two failed Wars and further rumors of War between Israel/Iran/Gaza/Lebanon. No jobs, no money, What next? We do not dare ask ! Just step back, enjoy a holiday on July 4th, pray and meditate, but get ready for action, to change these disasters, we are being pushed into. We do not have to accept the old status-quo .
—————————————————————————————–
With the final Saturn/Uranus opposition from July 14 to July 26,
there is likely to be some issue that once again polarizes the nation.
The battle will be between maintaining the status quo and protecting
vested interests
Saturn and Uranus were exactly opposite in the sky on US election day,
November 4 2008.
The opposition repeated at later degrees of Virgo/Pisces on February 5
and September 15 2009, and on April 26 and July 26 2010 (0 degree
Libra/Aries). Given that the orbs of influence with slow-moving
planets mean we feel them before and after the aspects are exact, we
have a two year plus window of time in which these two planets oppose
each other. This happens every 45.4 years, and the last time was
1965-67 and before that, 1918-1920.

We have more chaos and changes already starting out our week. With disasters surrounding us, we still do have the time to take measures to change our path forward.. We have to take Jupiter/Uranus in Aries and forge new innovations.
The Capricorn Lunar Eclipse occurs on June 26, 2010 at 11:31am GMT/
7:31am EDT/ 4:31am PDT. Eclipses usually mean a crisis of some sort,
which isn’t necessarily bad. ‘Eclipses represent a rip or tear in the
fabric of space/time, through which the forces of chaos and disorder
can enter or exit our world and our lives’. (Gary Caton) This rip can let in the spiritual
energies from the Super Galactic Center to midwife a new consciousness
Crisis is not necessarily a bad thing –
it wakes us up from our sleep and energizes us to do our best.
The energies involved in what astrologers are calling the Cardinal
Grand Cross of the Summer of 2010. Cardinal signs – Aries, Cancer,
Libra and Capricorn – begin new seasons of the year, and so they mark
a shift from one stage of development to another. Cardinal signs like
to take action, sometimes impetuously. The tension of the squares and
the need for awareness of the oppositions throw up obstacles to that
action. So we need to develop patience, stay centered, and get
organized if we want to overcome the obstacles. Endurance is the name
of the game. Things aren’t going to change overnight, but if we keep
at it, something new and potentially beautiful will take shape in the
chaos. Our culture must change its ways or we will die instead of it dying.
And the only way to do that is through each of us being responsible for those changes.
The Call is clear. Time to depart on the Hero’s Journey to find the
treasures that will heal our world. What other choice do we have?
