We are skidding on thin ice , or heavy oil! All of our status quo problems, just keep piling up, instead of being solved. We are just using band-aids. The Hurricane season is now starting at the Gulf, which will further impact the Gulf states and put them in further peril. We have two failed Wars and further rumors of War between Israel/Iran/Gaza/Lebanon. No jobs, no money, What next? We do not dare ask ! Just step back, enjoy a holiday on July 4th, pray and meditate, but get ready for action, to change these disasters, we are being pushed into. We do not have to accept the old status-quo .
—————————————————————————————–
With the final Saturn/Uranus opposition from July 14 to July 26,
there is likely to be some issue that once again polarizes the nation.
The battle will be between maintaining the status quo and protecting
vested interests
Saturn and Uranus were exactly opposite in the sky on US election day,
November 4 2008.
The opposition repeated at later degrees of Virgo/Pisces on February 5
and September 15 2009, and on April 26 and July 26 2010 (0 degree
Libra/Aries). Given that the orbs of influence with slow-moving
planets mean we feel them before and after the aspects are exact, we
have a two year plus window of time in which these two planets oppose
each other. This happens every 45.4 years, and the last time was
1965-67 and before that, 1918-1920.

Destinations and Destines – Rowing Your Boat: June’s Capricorn Partial
Lunar Eclipse
Wherever you are in the world, this eclipse is set to have some
interesting, intense and profound energies flowing from it. This is
because this full Moon is conjunct Pluto,—
The effects of eclipses stretch on for months, and, if you experience
a major event on any level; physically, mentally, spiritually or
emotionally, effects can stretch on through the coming months and
years. This is a time of crossroads, decisions and change.
The Sabian Symbol for the lunar eclipse and Pluto is Capricorn 5:
Indians – Some Rowing A Canoe While Others Are Dancing A War Dance.
This degree speaks of people working together in a communal effort to
do something or to get somewhere. The fact that some are “Dancing A
War Dance” may be the reason some are “Rowing A Canoe” in the first
place. With this degree emphasized, some people will be getting on
with their lives while others are wanting to make a show of things,
perhaps preferring to whip up responses, cause problems or perhaps
want others to stop and consider what’s really going on.
The Karmic Condition of the Moon and Pluto is also a challenging
degree. It’s Cancer 4: A Cat Arguing With A Mouse.
This degree can show a strain on one’s nerves and sense of peace.
Finding a quite space with friends who care and ensuring your safety,
peace and quiet helps to ameliorate any situations that may pop up.
The Sabian Symbol for the Sun is very telling and, also, a little
foreboding. It’s Cancer 5: At A Railroad Crossing, An Automobile Is
Wrecked By A Train . This degree is always opposite – meaning
these themes are always tied together – Capricorn 5: Indians – Some
Rowing A Canoe While Others Are Dancing A War Dance. This speaks of
being aware of going against the grain with people, when you’re
running counter to their intentions, desires or needs, getting in your
way, being aggressive, not listening, pushing their own agenda at the
expense of yours, going off the rails, valuing possessions before
people, talking so that no one gets a word in, emotional panic,
spinning out of control. There’s got to be a good side to this Sabian
Symbol; it can
show being the one who takes on the ‘big boys’ of business, gets in
the way, makes a noise to attract attention, refusing to just sit down
and take whatever is dished up. The only way ‘the car’ can be ‘wrecked
by a train’ is if the ‘car’ gets in the way of the ‘train’.
This is obviously going to be a big full Moon (a partial eclipse to
boot), and one in which many things will be transformed. The trick is
to be kind to yourself and others at this most meaningful time.

We have more chaos and changes already starting out our week. With disasters surrounding us, we still do have the time to take measures to change our path forward.. We have to take Jupiter/Uranus in Aries and forge new innovations.
The Capricorn Lunar Eclipse occurs on June 26, 2010 at 11:31am GMT/
7:31am EDT/ 4:31am PDT. Eclipses usually mean a crisis of some sort,
which isn’t necessarily bad. ‘Eclipses represent a rip or tear in the
fabric of space/time, through which the forces of chaos and disorder
can enter or exit our world and our lives’. (Gary Caton) This rip can let in the spiritual
energies from the Super Galactic Center to midwife a new consciousness
Crisis is not necessarily a bad thing –
it wakes us up from our sleep and energizes us to do our best.
The energies involved in what astrologers are calling the Cardinal
Grand Cross of the Summer of 2010. Cardinal signs – Aries, Cancer,
Libra and Capricorn – begin new seasons of the year, and so they mark
a shift from one stage of development to another. Cardinal signs like
to take action, sometimes impetuously. The tension of the squares and
the need for awareness of the oppositions throw up obstacles to that
action. So we need to develop patience, stay centered, and get
organized if we want to overcome the obstacles. Endurance is the name
of the game. Things aren’t going to change overnight, but if we keep
at it, something new and potentially beautiful will take shape in the
chaos. Our culture must change its ways or we will die instead of it dying.
And the only way to do that is through each of us being responsible for those changes.
The Call is clear. Time to depart on the Hero’s Journey to find the
treasures that will heal our world. What other choice do we have?

As the planets roll along! We have the
Summer Solstice before the big Eclipse on June 26,2010. Better get out there and enjoy this time ! I am a Sun lover, and get an average of 334 days of sunshine in AZ, as opposed to 100 in the Wash State area! However, I have a difficult time keeping up with, ” what month it is ??”
———————————————————————————————
June 21st 2010 at 7:28am EDT starts the Summer Solstice.
Summer Solstice occurs the day of the year with the longest period of daylight.
The summer solstice coincides with the Sun’s ingress into Cancer, and
the official start of the season. Cancer is the water cardinal sign of
the mother, nurturing, and family. It’s a high spirited time, when
solar light is radiant and the feminine energies are in abundance
Becoming aware of these solar turning points tunes you into the
natural rhythm of the seasons.
Summer Solstice Fun Facts
* Pagans called the Midsummer moon the “Honey Moon” for the mead
made from fermented honey that was part of wedding ceremonies
Some traditions would feed the newlyweds honey-laced foods for the
entire first month, which is where “honeymoon” comes from. The full
Moon in June is the Honey Moon.
* Ancient Pagans celebrated Midsummer with bonfires, when couples
would leap through the flames, believing their crops would grow as
high as the couples were able to jump.
* Midsummer was thought to be a time of magic, when evil spirits
were said to appear. To thwart them, Pagans often wore protective
garlands of herbs and flowers. One of the most powerful of them was a
plant called ‘chase-devil’, which is known today as St. John’s Wort
and still used by modern herbalists as a mood stabilizer.
The Celts & Slavs celebrated the first day of summer with dancing &
bonfires to help increase the sun’s energy.
The Chinese marked the day by honoring Li, the Chinese Goddess of Light.
Druids’ celebration of the day as the “wedding of Heaven and Earth”,
resulting in the present day belief of a “lucky” wedding in June.

I usually do not think of the fixed stars, but since Regulus, has come up recently, I thought I would collect a brief over view!? Probably, it has come up because Mars conjunct Regulus on June6, 2010… and I missed it !
I doubt, if I personally use it, but Regulus is still “out there”!
REGULUS – [29 degrees into Leo]
Watcher of the North.
Astrological ability, independent and high spirited. Destructiveness,
military honors. Power, success and leadership ability. Possible
disasterous fall from prominent position. The fixed stars do travel
due to precession at a rate of less than one minute per year, so
needing some seventy-two years to move slightly more than one
degree of arc). The stars have more importance, when very close to
the sun or moon.
It will enter enters the sign Virgo in 2012 AD. It entered the sign
Leo in 156 BC.
Regulus is one of the four key stars in the heavens, also called
archangel stars—The Royal Stars
These stars once marked the cardinal points of the equinoxes and the
solstices. They are also known as the Archangel stars being watchers
of the four points of the compass. They were characterised as horses,
the four horsemen of the Apocalypse.
Regulus has also been known as the Ruler, the Lawgiver. When we think
of the word Regulus we can relate it to a regulator.
It now sits at 29 degrees of the sign Leo. The sun passes through
this area of the sky during the month of August every year. We know
that the sun is the physical center of our solar system and amplifies
the quality of the constellation in the sky it passes in front of,
from the earth’s view. Have you noticed that during the month of
August, our world has undergone great changes?

New Moon in Gemini — the place where information, diversity, and
communication is important to us. The U.S. is running out of dance partners, to celebrate with.
There is a need to get back on course for real human needs. And, we need to celebrate what we have, and enjoy
those small pleasures in life. There is too much turmoil surrounding us. Feed our souls with loving ourselves and others.
The Gemini New Moon at 21 degrees, 24 minutes of Gemini occurs on
Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 11:16am GMT/ 7:16am EDT/ 4:16am PDT.
This new Moon shows us the need to relax and celebrate with loved ones and to take a break from the usual chores. Before we do that though, we may have to sort through some difficulties that life has thrown at us. The important thing here is gratitude – that above all else will bring the rewards of bounty that are inherent in this new Moon.
June’s new Moon falls on June 12 on the Sabian Symbol of Gemini 22: Dancing Couples Crowd The Barn In A Harvest Festival. This is a wonderful degree of celebration, gratitude and fullness of body, mind and spirit, which augers well for the Equinox on June 21 which is traditionally a time of celebration and acknowledgment of the earth’s bounty. This looks set to be a great new Moon but there could be some big adjustments, or even upheavals, in the days leading up to June 12.
This new Moon is, therefore, about celebrating, dancing, gathering together and enjoying life’s bounty. Mercury, the ruler of Gemini, is on another Symbol which speaks of gathering together and enjoying each other.

Mars enters Virgo June 7, after almost eight months of Mars in Leo. We are about to experience a major shift in energy. This coincides with the last seven weeks of Saturn in Virgo.
We have to put the last finishing touches of any
remaining Saturn in Virgo details because we don’t get another chance
this good for almost 30 years. We have the time now to perfect the details of
health, financial reform, foreign policy and pay more attention to the Gulf Oil spill.
Virgo’s symbol, the Virgin, loves of all that is “natural” and a certain
purity of spirit that keeps Virgos self-sufficient and self-contained, and sensitive to their surroundings.
Virgos can be perfectionists–and, Mars in Virgo will push for a more practical application of details in our world. We will have depend on more concentration in research skills and its power of observation. We will leave the fun, ego driven Mars in Leo and return to more of the basics of life. By July 29/30th, we will encounter Mars in Libra and its connection/conjunction with Saturn! More serious thinking and actions are ahead of us. We have to have escape time again, with a walk with the nature, and music we love. And have a big, sigh….

these details came from
http://www.astrogrrl.com/2010/06/mars-in-virgo-june-7-to-july-29-2010.html#ixzz0q5I8sqds
* June 7 ~ Mars quincunx Jupiter and Uranus. covered above
* June 15 ~ Mars trine Pluto-rx. Actions determined. Poised for
success. Ability to eliminate what’s necessary efficiently. Doing the
‘dirty work’ required to get the job done.
* July 26 ~ Mars quincunx Neptune-rx. Making decisions can be
tough when there’s confusion. Inability to make heads or tails about a
situation. Refrain from major decision-making until a few days, if
possible. If not, make a list of all that’s entailed/entangled within
the issue, study it then seek the counsel of a trusted
friend/colleague for an alternate point of view.
* July 29 ~ Mars quincunx Chiron-rx. Acting out because you’ve
been hurt or offended. Low tolerance for patience or anger. Easily
aroused into an argument. Disagreements easily escalating to something
that’s taken personally, even if there is no reason to. Judgements
clouded.

Jupiter is in Aries from June 6 through September 9, 2010, and returns
to Pisces. Jupiter re-enters Aries on January 22, 2011 through June
4, 2011 and then moves onto Taurus
.
Jupiter in Aries will give us the Aries qualities ! Confident
self-esteem, and a pioneer spirit. It should bring lots of energy,
entrepreneurship and the love of freedom and independence. We
should see new innovations in all our fields of life.
Aries love taking the initiative, and Jupiter in Aries can cause us to be
courageous and fearless to the point of being foolhardy. Aries,
usually do not think, before they leap !
———————————————————————————————————————–
———————————————————————————————————————–
J U P I T E R I N A R I E S
Aries are the direct, fiery, driven people of the zodiac. These are
the initiators.
When Jupiter is in Aries, the image is the door of opportunity being
flung open. Another image is someone grabbing at a potential, whether
a potential for growth, money, or greater room. There can also be a
pushy superiority when this energy is operating from ego — or a
tendency to try to force opportunities to manifest when their time
isn’t ripe. Jupiter in Aries says, “swing wide the doors of
opportunity — if there isn’t an opportunity opening soon enough, kick
open the door”.
Aries is an aggressive, driving sign — its main image is the
battering ram. If there is no opportunity, Jupiter in Aries will make
an opportunity. There can be a wolf-like quality to Jupiter in Aries
since the drive of Aries can combine with the greed of Jupiter to
create an aggressive greediness which is not aware of the longer range
goals — naked opportunism has also surfaced with Jupiter in Aries. On
the more positive side, Jupiter in Aries has resulted in
straight-forward openness. Desire and aggression are more open. In general, the people born with Jupiter in Aries and the
years when Jupiter was in Aries were more “raw”.
In general, the Jupiter in Aries periods were times of strife,
inventiveness, and open sensuality. They had that “open frontier”
quality.
1987 – 1988 ( other history dates listed at the site )
The films of the time are about war, open sexuality, aggression, and
full-out greed (but they are all good films!): Dirty Dancing, Fatal
Attraction, Full Metal Jacket (war), Last Emperor, Lethal Weapon, the
Witches of Eastwick, and Wall St. This was the time of glasnost in the
Soviet Union (which means “openness”). The Bonfire of the Vanities was
in the bookstores. Black Monday hit the stock market.
