I’ve been looking at the Turkey and Iran charts: the February 11, 1979 chart for Iran, that is. Both charts share an ASC/DEC of 7 Cancer/Capricorn and an MC/IC just two degrees apart. This would suggest a close tie between the two nations that have become allies and together with Syria are rising powers within the ME. Iran’s Venus is conjunct Turkey’s 7th house cusp which suggests a congenial partnership indeed.
One other thing in comparing the April 1 chart to the February 11 chart, the latter shows Saturn transiting the fourth house which signifies the people vs. the government and the opposition party or the party out of power, which would be Mousavi. Since there are no transiting planets in the fourth house in the April 1 chart, the ruler, Venus, had a Pluto sextile. So, the Saturn transit in the fourth seems to fit events in Iran during and subsequent to the widespread protests last summer, as well as the suppression and suffering of the people against the brutality of the regime.

dbla – Shangri-La Hotels – vancouver is sometimes called hongcouver – hong kong being where many of the newly arrived people came from when their was some uncertainty around what china would do with hong kong… turned out they kept it the same but many of the wealthy folks liked vancouver and stayed.. i guess they figure they can make a buck in the hotel biz in vancouver too… stay at the sylvia down near english bay – it is more simple quaint and in a nice spot in the downtown core…

In the almost 5 months I’ve been with him not once has he mentioned anything about, religion, spirit,meaning of life, after life, stars,planets, you get the picture?
He refers to Obama, as “my” (meaning mine) boy….and blames all the woes of the world on this admin.
Once in awhile he does criticize a repug/conservative.
When I answer him I tell him we can’t relay on any of them,use your smarts, and prepare for the worst.
End of story I say.
I’ve finally learned that it’s not worth it, and I don’t have the desire anymore for these kinds of conversations.
I do play a bit with discussions about the imploding world economy, and have said “how can anyone who considers themselves intelligent, and has all this info. be surprised if one day they lose it all?”
And he’s go a lot to lose, family just put a wing on local hospital.
He also pays no attention to world events, and thinks that all our problems are local VT. and the US, so quite often I will say to him that ” what takes place in other countries, especially the ME, is what will in the end determine our collective destiny”,
He doesn’t even question me about that statement, just lets it pass, and that’s fine with me.
I had many years with old bosses for the invigorating conversations and “what if’ possibilities, also and meetingof interesting people.
Old boss when he calls usually says “Orion calling” when I answer the phone…lol
Could be I burnt out on these topics,don’t really care anymore, cause people are going to do and believe what they want…..from having been a very social person,talker,to a much more contained person, just watching and waiting.

Over the weekend i was listening to 2 woman discussing on CNN their jobs at California’s DMV.
For the last 18 months they had a 15% pay decrease, and now Gov. Arnold cut their pay to minimum wage of $7.25 per hour.
Nowhere in the conversation did they mention what their pay had been before these cuts,anyone know what the starting Cali. state worker would have made and what about the ones that have been with the state for years?
Both woman said it’s impossible to live on this pay,and rightfully so, but I wonder what their options are for new employment at higher wages.
Did the Gov. cut his pay and his staff?

At the moment she’s got tr Pluto conjunct her Jupiter and trine Pluto – two legs of the Grand Trine – and definitely looking successful. In general this year and next she’s progressing well with tr Pluto sextile Sun/Jupiter as well. Admittedly tr Saturn will also square her Jupiter in late August which will be a setback and late October doesn’t look too chirpy on the job front either. Depends really when the decision is made but she looks much more successful rather than less.

Ummm, garlic, love it. And fresh, is fantastic. I had good luck with gardening in Seattle, but AZ. is difficult. Zucinni’s and other underground plants do great. I have never tried a potato, but totally surprised I had some beans last year. It is too hot, then we get the monsoon’s that beat the vines to death! However 40 miles from here, is a great garden/farm area. But they have irrigation/ etc—We have great pecan/pastachio nut groves too! The Neptune transit to Israel’s Mars will be exact again on July 10th (same time that transiting Saturn goes over SA Mars in the 12th), and was before that in April of this year, but the transit has been operative since last October. So, events under Mars Neptune can occur at any time over the course of the transit, not only when it’s exact. But, the Neptune opposition to Israel’s Mars, plus all the activity in the 12th point to things going on under the radar. What may be an example, according to a link from the Seminal, Israel has been using the PKK, the Kurds, to attack Turkey.
According to Crooke article, the Israelis do not feel they have achieved security under the land for peace provision of the Oslo Accords. Security is Israel’s highest priority now, not negotiating with the Palestinians. (I read somewhere that not a single candidate in the elections in Israel stood for peace with the Palestinians.) So that means they will not relinquish land in the West Bank, the building of settlements will continue, no matter who the leadership is. The Obama Administration evidently is unaware of the dynamics in Israel. It wants Israel to stop building in the West Bank in order to move forward with peace negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians, which is a priority for the Obama administration, not Israel. So, obviously Netanyahu’s statements today claiming that Israel is interested in negotiating with the Palestinians wasn’t intended for the audience in Israel. I think Netanyahu may simply be manipulating the Obama Administration. When the partial moritorium expires, we won’t have to look into a crystal ball to see what will happen. But I expect the Obama administration will express its “dismay” or some such.
Israel’s relationship with Turkey continues to deteriorate. See #85. The astrological factors mentioned in #81 also apply to Israel’s relationship with Turkey. Given the circumstances, when Turkey assumes leadership of the U.N. Security Council, it’ll obviously be in a position to cause trouble for Israel. So, if Israel has any sense, it will apologize. The power dynamics in the Middle East are shifting, and that will not be to either Israel’s or the U.S.’s liking.
dbla 74- thanks! perhaps one could grow some squash type plants in arizona with success… water is needed for growing things though.. we like growing butternut squash here, but it is tough as it and all the squash family need heat, something there’s a lot of in arizona! perhaps a winter crop of broad beans could work too… we love broad beans and have a beautiful row just coming ready for picking.. susan ended up planting more broad beans, peas and turnip in the area where the garlic has been pulled… we had a bit less then i thought – closer to about 75 heads of garlic, but still plenty for us..

i think glenn greenwald hits a home run with his articulation of the usa media in that post i shared… the guy is on fire and making some of the water carriers for corporate media go stir crazy! good for him… watch the number of knives for him start to appear… he is hitting too close to home for many of these water carriers for the big media sell out..

Lilienthal used strong terms to describe the Zionist-Jewish octopus plaguing the American media discourse. I have no doubt that he would have cited the sacking by CNN this week of its senior editor for Middle Eastern affairs, Octavia Nasr, as a classical and scandalous example of how the American media is decidedly at Israel’s beck and call.
One more thing. The American media claims independence from government. However, the latest scandal involving CNN shows that the American media nearly sheepishly follows the government line, which shows that freedom and US media are an oxymoron.
