That comment about Obama’s “reforming tendencies” gave me a good laugh. Makes me wonder about the media in Britain. Obama has a tight natal Saturn Uranus quincunx. The only thing that’s been reined in since his campaign if not the cradle is his Uranus.
I looked at the chart for the Democratic party several months ago. At the time, I didn’t see anything indicating a defeat or a significant loss like losing the House.
The GOP chart on the other hand has very difficult transits: Saturn is still conjunct natal Mars, squares the Sun, and is quincunx Uranus and Neptune. This looks to me like the Republicans are shooting themselves in the foot thereby helping the Democrats by doing the very things that will get them rejected by the voters. If you accept the TOB, it puts transiting Saturn right on the Ascendant square Sun and MC. The TOB purportedly being noon, I discount the transits to the angles.
Having said that, I know it’s counter intuitive but with all the Saturn action, it could mean the Republicans will take control of at least one of the chambers. But after looking at the Democratic party’s chart and the Obama inaugural chart as well, the preponderance of the evidence suggests 2010 will not be like 1994 when the Democrats lost control of Congress.

Trungpa’s descriptions of the hell realm and karma family neurosis evokes quite well the experience of Mars in hard aspect. Breitbart also has a highly manipulative Venus Pluto opposition and a Mars Neptune conjunction in Scorpio. Mars and Neptune is also quincunx Saturn. I think given the Mars aspects to Saturn and Neptune, his weapon of choice is deception. He’s more devious and underhanded in his aggression, although the Saturn Neptune and Venus in Pisces suggests he feels himself to be a victim of other people. Thanks for your comments. It is true the absence of a TOB obviously places certain limitations on the reading of a chart. But I don’t find that to be an obstacle to the degree that evidently you do, case in point being Breitbart. Also, all transits, minor and major, implicate the houses that is easily deduced by the position of the transiting planet by sign in relation to the natal planet and it’s sign, that is either an applying or separating aspect. So in that respect, not having the planetary positions in the houses is to some degree overcome when working with transits.
As for your reasons “not to sweat” the t-square, I don’t know what you’re talking about. Did you hear about the guy in Oakland, CA who just last week wanted to start a revolution by killing DFHs and environmentalists? The only reason there aren’t dead peoples’ surviving relatives sweating it is because jihad boy was pulled over by the cops on route to the ACLU office.
